Randall ‘Randy’ Kinney, 57, of Astoria, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, in Portland.
He was born Nov. 27, 1953, in Dickinson, N.D., to Mary Kay (Olheiser) Christie and Albert Kinney. His mother survives, residing in Baton Rouge, La. His father preceded him in death.
Mr. Kinney was a commercial painting contractor. He has resided in Astoria since 1965.
Family members said he enjoyed volleyball and hunting. He was an avid sports enthusiast, and loved watching school sporting events.
In additon to his mother, he is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Dave Bue of Astoria; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Steve and Denise Kinney of Knappa, Kevin Kinney of Astoria and Michael and Cheryl Kinney of Beaverton; five nieces, Talia Johnston of Sherwood and Jennifer Meisner of Battle Ground, Wash., and their families, and Natalie, Chealsey and Hailey Kinney of Beaverton; and five nephews, Nick Bryan and Nathan, Noah and Nolan Kinney, all of Knappa, and Edward Kinney of Astoria.
A public celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at the Moose Lodge, 420 17th St.
