Sandra Lee Morris, 42, of Astoria, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, in Astoria.

She was born Feb. 9, 1969, in Tillamook, to Gary Lee “Wimpy” and Janis Mae (McCrum) Morris. Her mother survives, residing in Astoria. Her father preceded her in death Nov. 12, 2003.

Her father was with the U.S. Coast Guard, and after she was born, the family moved to Astoria, Ketchikan, Alaska, and Manistee, Mich. In 1979, they moved back to Astoria, where she has resided since.

In 1987, she graduated from Astoria High School.

Ms. Morris worked as a clerk in convenience stores.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church, the Astoria Moose Lodge and Clatsop Post 12 American Legion.

Family members said she loved karaoke. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Trystyn Lee Morris of Astoria; three sisters, Charlotte Arredondo and her husband, Roland, of Port Angeles, Wash., Nancy Parr and her husband, Ted, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and her twin, Sharon Morris of Keota, Iowa; a brother and sister-in-law, Scot and Lisa Morris of Westport, Wash.; four nieces, Katie Stroup and her husband, Will, of Port Angeles, Wynonna Morris of Keota, Lacey Morris of Grants Pass and Bryanna Bowling of Texas; four nephews, John Arredondo of Port Angeles, Kyle Morris of Grants Pass, Anthony Morris of Keota and Alex Bowling of Westport; and uncle and aunt, Douglas and Beverly McCrum of Spokane, Wash.; and several great-aunts and great-uncles.

She was preceded in death by a grandmother, Bernice McCrum, on May 12, 1987.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, and 9 a.m. to noon Friday, Feb. 18, with a funeral at 1 p.m. Friday, at Caldwell’s Luce-Layton Mortuary.

A graveside service will follow at Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton, after which there will be a reception at the Astoria Moose Lodge, 420 17th St.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Clatsop Care Center or Lower Columbia Hospice, in care of Caldwell’s Luce-Layton Mortuary, 1165 Franklin Ave., Astoria, OR 97103.
