Amy Marie Christian, age 49, of Warrenton, died Saturday, April 2, 2011, in Astoria. She was born April 13, 1961, in Greenville, Ohio, to Donald Dean and Mary Jean (Taylor) Christian. She attended schools in Greenville. While Ms. Christian was married, her husband was in the military, and they were stationed in various U.S. cities. They later divorced. She lived in Fort Polk, La., from 1987 to Jan. 30, when she moved to Warrenton to live close to her family. While in Louisiana, she worked as a waitress. Family members said her hobbies included making crafts. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Christy and James Heikkala of Warrenton, Cory and Michael Zillman of Knappa and Debra Booker of Bonwier, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Kate Christian of Dayton, Ohio; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a twin sister, Ann Lewis; and two grandchildren. A memorial will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at the Warrenton First Baptist Church, 30 N.E. First St. in Warrenton. A potluck reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Caldwell’s Luce-Layton Mortuary in Astoria is in charge of the arrangements.
