Robert Morris Wymer, age 69, of Astoria, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at home. He was born March 21, 1942, in Chadron, Neb., to Kenneth Ellis and Fern Alice (Haywood) Wymer. He attended Boise, Idaho, schools. On Nov. 14, 1973, he married Barbara K. Wymer in Elko, Nev., who survives. The couple moved to Astoria from Boise in 2002. He served in the U.S. Navy for three years of active duty and spent three years in the reserves. Mr. Wymer was a heavy equipment operator for the Boise Project Board of Control. He retired in 1994. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister-in-law, Pat Brooks of Meridian, Idaho; six nieces Linda Emly and her husband, Norman, and BreAnna Taylor of Caldwell, Idaho, Cammie and Kala Jennings of Boise, Brook Taylor of Middleton, Idaho, and Tonya Flores of Nampa, Idaho; three nephews, Ed Brooks and his wife, Lisa, and George Brooks, all of Nampa, and Ben Jennings of Boise; and a stepfather, Bob Hoyt of Mountain Home, Idaho.
