Daniel Leon Reynolds, 75, of Westport, died Monday, June 13, 2011, in Portland.
He was born Sept. 16, 1935, in Malone, N.Y. His mother, Alice (White) Reynolds Mainville, survives, residing in Massena, N.Y.
He was raised in Malone.
In 1954, he enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps and served on active duty until February 1957. He then served in the Marine Corps Reserves until February 1962.
In 1955, he married Veneita Revette in Malone. They later divorced.
On July 11, 1975, he married Ruby Gamble in Forest Grove. She survives, residing in Westport.
During his working career, Mr. Reynolds owned and operated two gas stations. He also managed and worked in maintenance at an apartment complex in California. In 1985, he moved back to Malone and worked in a shoe factory. In 2000, he returned to Oregon, and has resided in Westport since 2002.
Family members said his hobbies included having his own woodworking business on the side, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Andrea and Dale Rockhill of Cumming, Ga., and Traci R. and Ole Gifford of Astoria; two sons, Daniel L. Reynolds Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Indiana and Michael W. Jensen of Forest Grove; a brother and sister-in-law, Archie and Sandra Reynolds of Ocala, Fla.; two sisters, Dale Ann McMann of Massena, and Debbie Durkee and her husband, Warren, of Bombay, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Reynolds requested that there be no funeral.
