Delores J. Hart, 80, of Ocean Park, Wash., died Monday, June 27, 2011, in Ocean Park.
She was born Feb. 6, 1931, in Bismark, N.D., to Stanley and Salena (Ballmiller) Wallace.
The family moved to the Jeffers Garden area of Astoria in 1945. She attended school in Astoria until her junior year, then transferred to Warrenton High School, where she met her future husband.
On May 27, 1960, she married Vernon Hart. He survives, residing in Ocean Park.
After graduating from high school, Mrs. Hart worked as a bookkeeper at J.J. Newberry Co. in Astoria. She then worked at the First National Bank, and later in the office at Point Adams Packing Co., in Hammond. She then became a housewife and adopted two children.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Marty Hart of Warrenton; a brother, Wayde “Peewee” Wallace of Houston; a sister, Beverly Beach of Ocean Park; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Hart.
A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at the United Methodist Church, 679 S. Main Ave. in Warrenton.
