Timothy Joel Wiley, 56, of Morton, Wash., formerly of Clatsop County, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, in Morton.
He was born May 27, 1955, in Oregon City, to Don J. and Thelma M. (Linn) Wiley. His parents preceded him in death.
In 1957, the family moved to Clatsop County. He attended St. Mary, Star of the Sea Grade School in Astoria, and graduated from Warrenton High School in 1973.
On Sept. 16, 1973, he married Mistie Baldwin. They later divorced.
Mr. Wiley worked at the Wauna Paper Mill for 28 years.
Family members said his hobbies included music, spelunking, hiking, bike riding and slot car racing.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Rhiannon and Ryan Christianson of Lynnwood, Wash.; a son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Lindsey Wiley of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Russ Farmer of Astoria and Judy and Bert Gritters of Milwaukie; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Stephen and Trace Wiley of Portland and Linn and Nancy Wiley of Palm Desert, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Anna Marie Wiley; and a brother, James F. Wiley.
A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Mission Christian Fellowship Church, 525 N.W. Warrenton Drive in Warrenton.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Timothy Wiley Memorial Fund, in care of the Bank of Astoria, 1122 Duane St., Astoria, OR 97103.
