Linda Carol Geisler, 67, of Astoria, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, in Astoria.
She was born Dec. 23, 1943, in Astoria, to Noel Stanley Thayer and Elsie Beulah Gates.
She was raised and attended schools in Knappa.
On July 23, 1960, she married Ronald Geisler in Astoria. He preceded her in death Dec. 28, 2002.
Mrs. Geisler attended Maddox Dance Studio. She taught ballet for a period of time. She also worked in retail until she owned her own shop in Astoria, Clothes Castle, for several years.
Family members said her hobbies included scrapbooking and reading. She loved spending time with family and taking care of her grandchildren from time to time.
She is survived by a daughter, Theresa Geisler of Knappa; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Linda Geisler of Knappa; four grandchildren, Kimberly Zillman, Michael Zillman and his wife, Cory, and Brian Zillman, all of Knappa, and Robert Campbell of Warrenton; two step-grandchildren, Brittany and Whitney Ferguson of Knappa; a brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Hedy Dawson of Reno, Nev.; a niece, Freda Holbrook of Portland; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
She was preceded in by two daughters, Pam Campbell and Lisa Geisler; a great-grandson, Trevor Zillman; two sisters; and three brothers.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Crossroads Community Church, 40618 Old Highway 30.
