Otto Christopher Brandt, 36, of Warrenton, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, in Astoria.
He was born Oct. 6, 1975, in Portland, to Otto Brandt and Annetta Osborn. His parents survive.
Raised in the Portland and Boring areas, he attended Centennial and Clackamas high schools.
He married, then divorced.
Mr. Brandt was employed by Pride Floors in Portland. He moved to the Oregon Coast in 2001, and helped his mother care for his grandmother and Down Syndrome sister. He worked at the Warrenton Mini Mart, Coast Rehabilitation Services, Manion Landscaping and Lanai at the Cove. He was a custodian at Warrenton Grade School, and worked at the Astoria/Warrenton/Seaside KOA in Hammond, where he was very proud of the flower beds.
Family members said he loved all creatures, and enjoyed caring for other people. He collected sand dollars and displayed them at the KOA.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a grandmother, Patricia Osborn; a sister, Eileen Brandt; a brother, James Brandt; a sister-in-law, Amanda Brandt; three nephews, Chance and Tyler Brandt and Steven Edwards.
A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Faith Community Church, 12414 E. Burnside St. in Gresham.
