Opal Pearl Lambert, 89, of Seaside, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, in Seaside.
She was born Sept. 7, 1922, in Braxton County, W. Va.
She was raised and received her education in South Charleston, W. Va.
In 1942, she married John W. Lambert in Charleston. He preceded her in death in 1993.
Mrs. Lambert was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children. In 1999, she moved to Clatsop County to be close to her family.
Family members said she loved reading, and her whole life revolved around spending time with family.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Browne of Astoria and Julia Lambert of Seaside; three grandchildren, Becky Shinn of Astoria, Glenn Shinn of Tigard and Jeanne Browne Miller of Naselle, Wash.; and three great-grandchildren, Mahalya, Kenah and Nevaeh Shinn of Astoria.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Withrow, in 1993.
Mrs. Lambert requested that there be no service.
Inurnment will be held at Tyler Mountain Memorial Gardens in Charleston.
