Kenneth James "Lobo" Church, age 59, of Warrenton, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, in Warrenton. He was born April 16, 1952, in Bay Center, Wash., to James E. and Genevieve Evangeline (Anderson) Church. His parents preceded him in death. He received an associate's degree. He served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard for seven years and was honorably discharged. On May 21, 1979, he married Peggy Jeanne Jones in South Bend, Wash. She survives, residing in Warrenton. Mr. Church was retired. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Family members said he enjoyed music, animals, motorcycles, fishing and the outdoors. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Anna Marie and Mark McRiley of Hillsboro; a son, Daniel J. Church of Portland; a sister, Eva Robinson of San Jose, Calif.; two brothers, Tommy Church of San Jose and Dave Church of Portland; a foster son, John O'Neil of Kansas; a mother-in-law, Lola Jones of Warrenton; a brother-in-law, Chuck Jones and his wife, Esther, of Astoria; a sister-in-law, Pam Hitchman and her husband, Greg, of Astoria; two grandsons, Kyle and Cameron Geist of Portland; a nephew, Jason Jones and his wife, Cari, of Astoria; two nieces; Shannon Roberson and Jenny Jones of Astoria; and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a father-in-law, Vance Jones; a nephew, Nathan L. Roberson; and a brother, Michael Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today, Jan. 4, at Caldwell's Luce- Layton Mortuary, 1165 Franklin Ave. A memorial will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Lewis & Clark Bible Church, 35082 Seppa Lane.
