Coral May McDonald, 88, of Seaside, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, in Seaside.
She was born March 8, 1923, in Pendleton, to Jasper Gordon and Mollie Merle (McDill) York.
Raised in Pendleton, she graduated from Pendleton High School in 1941. She went on to attend beauty college in La Grande, and received her license.
In 1946, she married Virgil Kaspar in Pendleton. They later divorced. He survives, residing in Cottage Grove.
in 1990, she married Sandy McDonald. He preceded her in death in 2001.
Mrs. McDonald owned and operated her own beauty shop for many years and retired in the mid-1980s. In 2008, she moved to Clatsop County to live close to her family, first living in Astoria, then moving to Seaside.
Family members said her hobbies included working on puzzles, playing bingo and dancing.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Debbie Kaspar of Astoria; two grandchildren, Deanne Bentley and her husband, Robert, of Vernonia, and Bill Kaspar of Astoria; and two great-grandsons, Jack and James Bentley of Vernonia.
Private interment will be at the Onley Cemetery in Pendleton.
