Scott Patrick Killion, 48, of Portland, formerly of Warrenton, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, in Portland.

He was born March 23, 1964, in Astoria, to Robert Charles “Bob” Killion Sr. and Cathie Diane (Farrell) Killion. His parents survive, residing in Warrenton.

In 1982, he graduated from Warrenton High School. Later, he attended Clatsop Community College, where he performed the lead role in the musical “Grease.”

He served in the U.S. Army and subsequently served with the Oregon National Guard.

Mr. Killion was employed by Carnival Cruise Lines as a musical entertainer.

Family members said he enjoyed volunteering his time working with the elderly.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Terri Killion of Spokane, Wash.; two uncles and four aunts, David and Norma Killion and Beverly Hawks, all of Warrenton, Bill and Ginger Killion of Beaverton and Juana Killion of Vancouver, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at the Calvary Assembly of God Church, 1365 S. Main Ave. in Warrenton.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 3101 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road, Portland, OR 97239 or a charity of one’s choice.
