Alcedo Enry "Allie" Leitch

Alcedo Enry “Allie” Leitch, 64, of Elsie, died Thursday, May 24, 2012, in Seaside.

She was born Sept. 21, 1947, in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, to Henry J. and Paula E. (Maxwell) Friesen.

She graduated from high school in California and received an associate’s degree in business from Pasadena City College.

On Sept. 22, 1971, she married James L. “Jim” Leitch, in West Bank, British Columbia. He survives, residing in Elsie.

Mrs. Leitch and her husband lived in the Elsie area for 40 years. She was the head secretary for Broadway Middle School in Seaside for 21 years.

Family members said her hobbies included flower gardening, stamping and making greeting cards.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Kerrie LaRee Leitch of Portland.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at Broadway Middle School, 1120 Broadway in Seaside.
