Marjorie Forbes Skene Wright, 92, of Seaview, Wash., died Thursday, July 12, 2012, in Seaview.
She was born July 1, 1920, in Portland, to James Charles Forbes and Marjory Fraser Gillis Skene.
Raised in Portland, she graduated from Lincoln High School there. She attended Oregon State College in Corvallis.
On June 2, 1945, she married Harley Smith Wright Jr. in San Diego. He survives, residing in Seaview.
Mrs. Wright worked at the Oregon Bank in Portland for 13 years. She then worked for U.S. National Bank, at the main office in Portland, for 25 years.
She was a member of the Lincoln High School and Oregon State College alumni associations, the Daughters of Scotia, the Kilwinning Lodge in Sacramento, Calif., and St. Mary Catholic Church in Seaview. She was also a Pittock Mansion Society life member.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, James Wright of Aloha; and two grandchildren, Eric Wright of Portland and Jennifer Harris and her husband, Neil, of Cornelius.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at Caldwell’s Luce-Layton Mortuary, 1165 Franklin Ave. in Astoria.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 23, at Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 S.E. Mount Scott Blvd. in Portland.
