Brandon Paul Anderson, 24, of Seaside, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, in Portland.
He was born May 8, 1988, in Spokane, Wash., to Gregory Shane Anderson and Christine Diane Pritchard. His parents survive; his father resides in Boise, Idaho; his mother and stepfather, Richard Bard, reside in Seaside.
Mr. Anderson lived with his family in Spokane until he was 4 1/2 years old. Then he lived in Fresno, Calif., and Idaho. He eventually moved to the Clatsop County area in 1996.
Family members said his hobbies included skate boarding, hiking, hunting, fishing, archery and any sport outdoors.
In addition to his parents and stepfather, he is survived by a sister, Kiri Carmelia Melugin of Seaside; a brother, Bobo Lynn Melugin Jr. of Seaside; a half-sister, Page Anderson of Boise; a nephew, Jacob Lynn Paul Melugin of Seaside; and a grandmother, Catherine Bostowick of Twin Falls, Idaho.
A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, at the Cannon Beach Presbyterian Church, 132 Washington St. in Cannon Beach.
A reception will follow at North Coast Family Fellowship Church, 2245 N. Wahanna Road in Seaside.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Brandon Anderson Memorial Fund, in care of U.S. Bank, 251 Ave. A, Seaside, Or 97138.
