Judy Mills, 58, of Astoria, formerly of Stanfield, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, in Astoria.

She was born Jan. 8, 1954, in Forsyth, Mont., to Thomas and MaryAnn (Robinson) Miller. Her parents preceded her in death.

The family moved to Oregon when she was a young girl. She was raised and attended school in Hermiston.

In 1973, she married Steve Mills in Hermiston. He survives, residing in Astoria.

After marrying her high school sweetheart, she and her husband settled in Stanfield and farmed for 30-plus years. They have lived in Astoria for four years.

Mrs. Mills was always active in her church and community activities, and volunteered for Vange John Memorial Hospice of Hermiston.

Family members said she enjoyed gardening, and was active in her daughters’ school and sports activities.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Trygve Klepp of Astoria, Traci and Tanner Mulvihill of Stafford, Va., and Rebecca and John Derr of Royersford, Pa.; three grandsons, Jamison and Caleb Mulvihill of Stafford and Jacob Klepp of Astoria; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Warrenton Christian Church, 1376 S. E. Anchor Ave. in Warrenton.

A second memorial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at the First Christian Church, 775 W. Highland Ave. in Hermiston.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Clatsop Care Center Memorial Fund, 646 16th St., Astoria, OR 97103.
