Patricia Ora "Pat" Harny

Patricia Ora “Pat” Harny, 66, of Astoria, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria.

She was born July 9, 1946, in Tillamook, to Edwin Roy Smith and Arlene Frances Hibbard.

She graduated from high school.

Ms. Harny was a homemaker.

Family members said she was always quick with a smile, and thoughtful.

She is survived by her companion, Wayne Ledford of Astoria; a sister, Darlene Isabell of Keizer; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Rhoda Christopher of Dry Prong, La.; two grandchildren, Ariana and Joshua Christopher of Dry Prong; and a sister-in-law, Cheryl Smith of Junction City.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin E. “Butch” Smith and Wayne Carroll.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at Caldwell’s Luce-Layton Mortuary, 1165 Franklin Ave.
