Frank was born in Tacoma, Washington, in 1940, to Robert and Betty Seaman. He was raised in the Territory of Alaska. He attended Clatsop Community College and Portland State University.
In 1971, he began a career as a Commercial Fisherman, trolling for salmon, bait fishing for tuna, long lining for halibut and trawling for shrimp. His 28 years of fishing is chronicled in his book, “Ship Captain Crew,” ISBN #1-4241-6638-1, available through Amazon Books.
He is survived by sisters Carol Duffy of Lacey, Washington, and Judith Mulligan of Tucson, Arizona, and brother John Seaman of Astoria; children Natalie, Tina, Sonja and Frank Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Labor Temple in Astoria from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 26th.
