Linda Anne Quinn Foster Bowen Webb went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born Easter Sunday, April 17, 1949, in Louisville, Kentucky, the second child of James Elliott Quinn, Jr. and Joanna Ruth Zimmerman Quinn.
Linda lived in the Midwest until 1963, when the family moved to Los Angeles, California. There Linda became a born-again Christian and married Michael Charles Foster in 1970, with whom she had four children. Linda lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Idyllwild, California, Hemet, California and Hailey, Idaho, where she worked for the City of Ketchum for 9 years, and also worked as the Office Manager for the Presbyterian Church of the Big Wood for seven years.
In 1991, Linda married Josh (Dan Ross) Bowen in Hailey, Idaho, (they later divorced) and gave birth to their son, Noah the following year. In 2006 Linda moved to Astoria, Oregon, where her sister Donna and niece Lulu were living. She worked for the Columbia River Maritime Museum for five years before entering retirement.
In July of 2010 she was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and received chemotherapy from the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion, Illinois. When Columbia Memorial Hospital opened their oncology unit in Astoria, Linda chose to have her treatments there.
Linda met Donald Leeland Webb at First Presbyterian Church in Astoria, and they began dating in February of 2011, and married on July 24, 2011, at the Millpond Garden in Astoria. After their marriage, Linda retired from the Maritime Museum and devoted her time to working with church committees, the Clatsop County Food Bank and she became Secretary/Treasurer of Loaves and Fishes/Meals on Wheels. She also was a volunteer at the Liberty Theater.
Linda is survived by her husband Don, (his son Richard Webb and wife, Elaine, his daughter Diane and granddaughters Parker and Natalie), brother-in-law John Webb, sons Daniel Keith Foster and wife Amber, Christopher James Foster and wife Tomoko, son Noah Abner Bowen, grandchildren Gavin, Aiden and Logan Foster, sister Donna Quinn, brothers James Quinn, Jeff Quinn, Ron Quinn and Todd Elliott, stepmother Judy Quinn, and niece Lulu Quinn.
Linda will be reunited with her son Nathaniel William Foster and daughter Amy Marie Foster who are already in heaven. She leaves behind many friends here and elsewhere.
Linda was celebrated in her family for her wonderful cooking and her selfless attitude which offered inspiration to all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness which will continue on in the hearts of those who knew and appreciated the rare jewel she was.
A combined memorial service with Pastors Dave & Carol Prichard (First Presbyterian) and Pastor Steve Dornfeld (Peace Lutheran) will be held at Peace Lutheran Church on Saturday, May 25th, 2013, at 2:00 p.m.
