Masako Krepky passed away on July 5, 2013, in St. Helens, Oregon.

Masako was born in Kula, Hawaii, to Shosuke and Shizuyo (Nakayama) Mitsumura on July 19, 1926.

Profoundly humble and graciously generous, Masako will be remembered for her selfless devotion to family, her kindness, acceptance of everyone and her beautiful, strong spirit.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Seymour Krepky; brothers Masato, Masaji, and Haruo Mitsumura; sisters Chieko Hanada, Kazuko Kakuni, Tsuneko McChesney, Haruko Chow, Tomiko Hay, Natsuko Ishihara, Shizue Mitsumura; and grandson Jacob Bahruth.

She is survived by four daughters Shirley Krepky of Astoria, Oregon, Patricia Higashi of Wahiawa, Hawaii, Mary (Tim) Dugan of Astoria, Oregon, and Laura (Kent) Bahruth of Warrenton, Oregon; seven grandchildren Joshua (Tana) Bahruth of Gillette, Wyoming, Buddy Higashi of Hanapepe, Hawaii, Aaron Dugan of Beaverton, Oregon, Amanda Higashi of Wahiawa, Hawaii, Aleesha Nedd of Astoria, Oregon, Micah Dugan of Astoria, Oregon, and Samuel Bahruth of Warrenton, Oregon; one great-grandson Ryddek Bahruth of Gillette, Wyoming; brother Yoshiyuki (Flo) Mitsumura of Waipahu, Hawaii; sisters Hiroko (Othell) Pharr of Bossier City, Lousiana, Masayo Kimura of Wailuku, Hawaii; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013, at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church in Astoria, Oregon. Committal will be in Kula, Hawaii, at a later date.
