Dolores Lee (Dee) Labiske

September 19, 1932 — October 15, 2013

Dolores (Dee) Lee Labiske was born in Astoria, Oregon, to Lee Edward and Mary Louise Shoop. She graduated from Astoria High School and married her high school sweetheart, Edward Labiske Jr., on September 30, 1951. They spent much of their married life together residing on various fish hatcheries around the state of Oregon and raising their three children.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years and three children – Cindy and Tom Peake, David and Belinda Labiske, and Bob Labiske and his partner Theresa Bengtson. She is also survived by three grandchildren and their spouses – Chris and Leah Campbell, John and Beth Campbell and Emily Campbell, and 5 great-grandchildren – Rylyn, Jenna, Asher, Claire and Brenna. She is also survived by a younger brother – Robert Shoop and his partner Darla Roane.
Dee loved flowers, cooking and sewing. Her happiest moments were baking cookies with her grandchildren. After retiring from hatchery life, Dee and Ed traveled pulling a travel trailer and visiting areas throughout the US and Canada. A favorite place she enjoyed visiting was Death Valley, CA, for the variety and color of the flowers.
