Christina Louise Stacey

Christina Louise Stacey, 73, passed away Jan. 20, 2015, in Portland, Ore. She was born in Jeffersonville, Ind., to William and Dorothy Mead Wagner. At a young age her family moved to Clatsop County, where she graduated from Knappa High School in 1959.

She married Dennis L. Stacey, and they later divorced. When her children were young, she was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her family. Christina worked for the Red Lion Motel in Astoria in housekeeping. She then worked at Hilda Lahti School in Knappa as a custodian from 1976 until her retirement in 2003.

Her hobbies included gardening, canning, baking, and mushroom hunting. Her family remembers how much she loved her animals on her property, who would greet her each morning while she sat and drank her coffee.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel Stacey of Orting, Wash., and Vince Stacey of Svensen, Ore.; grandchildren, Natasha Stacey of Lacey, Wash., Heather Kosters of Lake Stevens, Wash., and Daniela Paloma Stacey of Orting, Wash.; great–grandchildren, Armani and Chilynn Herrera of Lacey, Wash., and Vincer Stacey of Seattle, Wash.; cousins, June Dodson of Rainier, Ore., and Jerry and Janice Ferguson of Svensen, Ore.; and caring friend, Judy Hooper of Clatskanie, Ore.

Christina requested no funeral services.
