Robert “Piky Bob” Williams, 71, passed away in his home with his wife of 25 years, Amelia Williams, by his side. He was born in Astoria to Paul and Aili Williams. He attended St. Mary Star of the Sea School, then served in the U.S. Navy as an aircraft electrician during the years of 1962 to 1965.
In addition to his wife, Amelia, he is survived by siblings Don Williams of St. Helens, Oregon, Dick Williams of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mary Alice Konradson of Beaverton, Oregon; sons Kai Williams of Portland, Oregon, and Steve McGuire of Astoria; and a daughter and daughter-in-law, Angela and Judy Janssen-Williams of Prescott, Arizona. He has six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Brian McGuire of Astoria, Oregon.
Robert was the captain of the F/V Piky, once owner of the Brass Rail Restaurant, and was well known in the Astoria community. Robert loved riding his Harley Davidson and touring the countryside.
A celebration of life will be at The Red Building Loft, at 20 Basin St., Astoria, Oregon, starting at 1 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015.
