Howard L. Heironimus, 75, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at Community Home Hospice with his children by his side.
He was born Jan. 31, 1942 in Hartshorn, Missouri to Henry and Opal Heironimus. Howard graduated West Valley High School in 1962 where he lettered in football. He was also involved in several other extracurricular activities.
Howard entered the United States Army in 1963 where he served three years and was honorably discharged in 1966.
On April 13, 1984, he married Marilyn Vetsch of Yakima, Wash. Howard enjoyed his family and his job with the railroad as a bridge tender. He retired in 2014.
Howard had a love for the outdoors, including gardening, fishing, hunting and just cruising the back roads. He also had a great love for country western dancing.
He is survived by his daughter, Tiffney Kynsi of Clatskanie; Ian Bacon of Chehalis, Wash.; Steve Morse of Aberdeen, Wash.; Brother, Bob Heironimus; and aunt Myrtle Hagar both of Yakima, Wash. and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 1, at the Mayer-Downing Church, 80071 Life Lane, Clatskanie, Ore. 97016.
A friends and family luncheon will follow at the Rainier Eagles Club, 109 W. A Street, Rainier, Ore. 97048.
