Former Warrenton resident, 84
Beulah Loretta Thompson, 84, of Sweet Home, formerly of Warrenton, died Sunday, March 14, 2010, in Sweet Home.
She was born Aug. 29, 1925, in Stockham, Neb., to David and Aganetha Smith. She was the ninth child of ten children.
In 1942, she married Harry Thompson. He preceded her in death in 1975.
During World War II, Mrs. Thompson worked supporting the war effort while her husband was in the U.S. Navy. After the war they lived in Portland and many other towns on the Oregon Coast. She resided in Warrenton the last years of her life.
Family members said she loved spending time with her family and was especially fond of animals.
She is survived by a son, Gordon Thompson of Sweet Home; two sisters, Lorena "Bonnie" Thorne of Portland and Vera Schafer of Des Moines, Iowa; four grandchildren, Aaron and Joel Thompson, Angela Poirier and Joy Brooke; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons.
A private burial was held at Nehalem Valley Cemetery.
