Douglas Clark Robnett, 56, of Astoria, died Sunday, March 28, 2010, in Astoria.
He was born March 23, 1954, in Astoria, to Anthony C. and Helen L. (Clark) Robnett. His parents preceded him in death.
Raised in Astoria, he graduated from Astoria High School in 1972. He attended Clackamas Community College.
Mr. Robnett worked at the Astoria Plywood Mill and, for the past several years, at Bornstein Seafoods.
Family members said his hobbies included watching sports on TV, especially the University of Oregon teams and the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed history, reading about historical events and watching history on TV.
He is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lora and John Nordquist of Sisters and Celia and Bruce Golden of Virginia Beach, Va.; a niece, Katie Nordquist of Sisters; and three nephews, Evan Owens of Woodbridge, Va., Brian Golden of Blacksburg, Va., and Kyle Golden of Norfolk, Va.
A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Astoria High School Scholarship Fund, in care of Caldwell's Luce-Layton Mortuary, 1165 Franklin Ave., Astoria, OR 97103.
