Aileen Estelle (Link McFarlane) Jenson, age 97, of Astoria, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Clatsop Care Center in Astoria, of natural causes. She was born July 13, 1913, in Portland, to Jacob Philip Link and Audra May Rhymer-Potter. She graduated from Milwaukie High School and lived most of her life in the Milwaukie area. On Dec. 17, 1933, she married Ronald Theron McFarlane in Vancouver, Wash. He preceded her in death. On Oct. 21, 1967, she married Harold Jenson and moved to Warrenton. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Jenson was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also a member of the Loyal Order of Rebekah and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. She served on the board and was in charge of the Warrenton Senior Center for several years, until she was in her early 90s. Family members said she loved people and wasn't happy unless she was doing something or serving someone. She loved fishing, clam digging, ocean beaches, camping, rock hounding, bowling, dancing (especially square dancing) and flower arranging. She is survived by two sons, Terry Ronald McFarlane of La Pine and Gordon Philip McFarlane of Chadwick, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Philip Link; and two grandchildren, Michael French and Teresa Flues.
