Georgie Ann Hollaway, 72, of Warrenton, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, at home.
She was born July 20, 1938, in Bellevue, Ohio, to Samuel LeRoy and Sarah Elizabeth (Geren) Adams.
She married Henry Grady Hollaway. He preceded her in death Oct. 16, 2000.
Mrs. Hollaway worked as a filleter in a cannery. She retired in 1989.
Family members said she felt her greatest accomplishments were raising her children and taking care of her family. She enjoyed embroidery, reading, ceramics and puzzles.
She is survived by three sons, Randy Hollaway and his wife, Mary, of Warrenton, Rusell Hollaway and his wife, Allison, of Astoria, and Scott Hollaway of Portland; a daughter, Brenda Hansen of Astoria; five grandchildren, Tim Welch of Portland, John Welch and his wife, Alma, of Tillamook and Angela Mehrer and her husband, Jimmy, John Zimmerman and Nicholas Dowell, all of Astoria; 11 great-grandchildren; and eight siblings, her twin, George "Corkey" L. Adams, Johnny, Davy, Emory and Sammuel Adams, Norma Gillingham, Wanda Ward and Bob Shinabery.
In remembrance, the family invites everyone to Mrs. Hollaway's house for a cup of coffee from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25th at 539 N.W. Date Ave. in Warrenton.
