Jeanie Aileene Hart, age 57 of Warrenton, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, in Astoria. She was born April 17, 1953, in Hillsboro, to Richard A. and Bonnie Jean (Hargitt) Strickland. Raised in Hillsboro, she graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1972. On Oct. 26, 1990, she married Marty Hart in Astoria. He survives, residing in Warrenton. Mrs. Hart substitute taught at Dilley Grade School in Gaston for a while. Her parents owned and operated Joe’s Charter Café in Garibaldi, and she worked as a waitress for a few years. She owned and operated Lee’s Camp Grocery Store for five years, then went back to work managing Joe’s Charter Cafe for a while. She later became a seafood buyer and bookkeeper for Hoye Brothers Fish Cannery in Garibaldi. In 1990, she moved to Clatsop County, where she began working as a custodian for the Seaside School District. In 1992, she began working for Warrenton High School as a custodian, and was currently head custodian of the high school. Family members said her hobbies included crocheting, camping, reading, cooking, mud bogs and National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing. Her family remembers her as always taking good care of family and friends. She loved her job and the students at Warrenton High School, and her dogs were a big part of her life. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ben and Tina Fisher of Roy, Wash., and Keith Fisher of Federal Way, Wash.; five grandchildren, Kristen and Kevin Fisher of Nevada, Kaitlynn and Dannelle Fisher of Astoria and Jay Sullivan of Federal Way; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Randy and Kathy Strickland of Gearhart, Curt Strickland of Warrenton and George Haston of Portland; and a sister, Donna Grimes of Redmond. A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 at Warrenton High School, 1700 S.E. Main Ave. in Warrenton. Memorial contributions may be given to Warrenton High School, in care of Caldwell’s Luce-Layton Mortuary, 1165 Franklin Ave., Astoria, OR 97103.
