Paul Alexander Drummond Norris, 78, of Astoria, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at home.
He was born May 17, 1932, in Montreal, Quebec, to Paul Harlow and Florence McDougal (Drummond) Norris. He was raised in Richford, Vt.
He served in the U.S. Army.
In 1962, he married Judith Miller in Vermont. They later divorced. She survives, residing in Knappa.
From 1955 to 1966, Mr. Norris was a John Deere farm equipment dealer in Richford and a self-employed mechanic. He moved to Clatsop County in 1978.
He was a member of the American Legion.
Family members said he enjoyed restoring antique automobiles, visiting with friends and spending time with his family.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Louis Laukkanen of Knappa and Florence and Mark Elliott of Astoria; four sons and two daughters-in-law, John Norris and James and Noveeda Norris, all of Astoria, Maison Norris of Longview, Wash., and Charlie and Joyce Norris of Warrenton; a sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Doug Kidder of Vermont; four grandchildren, Matt Norris of Warrenton, Maison Norris of Longview and Katie and Ryan Laukkanen of Knappa; a caregiver, Judith Sullivan of Knappa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, at Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton. A reception will follow the service.
