Jon D. Hartill, 68, of Astoria, died July 19 in Astoria.
He was born in Madera, California, on May 18, 1955, to Donald E. Hartill and Marian E. Hardie.
Jon graduated from high school and went on to mechanic’s school.
Jon married Lisa K. Tate in Reno, Nevada, in 2003.
Jon was an owner and operator of Bell Buoy of Seaside, and a respected member of the Seaside Chamber of Commerce. He was in the seafood industry for 50 years.
Jon loved fishing, playing golf and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa; two sons, Robert Bulleri and Jeremy Puerta; two brothers, Terry and Rand E. Hartill; a sister, Christie Pearn; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 5 at Caldwell’s Luce-Layton Mortuary in Astoria.
