Lillian Lorraine Baeten, a 91-year-old Astoria resident, passed away on Monday at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Lillian was born on Oct. 13, 1932, in Iron Mountain, Michigan, to the late Pasilins and Judith Hamari. Lillian grew up in Everett, Washington.
Lillian graduated from Everett High School.
Lilian was united in marriage to Robert Henry Joseph Baeten on Nov. 24, 1951. Lillian and her husband, Bob, ran the Astoria Armory skating rink, which she continued for years after Bob passed away.
Lillian worked as an Astoria School District bus driver for 40 years.
Lillian was a member of the Coastline Christian Fellowship in Astoria. She was dedicated to church missions and living for the Lord.
Lillian is survived by her daughter, Denise Ness; son, Neal Baeten; grandsons, Josh and Luke Ness; granddaughters, Vanessa and Ashley Baeten; great-granddaughters, Avery, Emma, Zoe and Emery Ness; and great-grandson, Knox Ness.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Coastline Christian Fellowship, 89386 Highway 202.
