Nadine Rae (Aplin) Brien was born in Las Vegas on Dec. 20, 1934, and passed away very peacefully on Feb. 14, Valentine’s Day, at home with her family.
She is survived by her ex-husband, Jim Brien Sr.; and seven sons, starting in order from oldest to youngest, Jim Jr., Daniel, David, Michael, Stephen and twins, Matthew and Mark.
Although she had an associate degree in social services, she spent most of her adult years as a homemaker. She took care of her family and worked as a social worker at the Pioneer House, taking care of the homeless and less fortunate.
She was a woman of faith who loved God with all her heart, and lived her entire life serving others. If asked what the most important thing in life was, she would tell you “knowing Jesus.”
There will be a celebration of life from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at the Lighthouse Christian Church, 88786 Dellmoor Loop in Warrenton.
