William (Bill) Nathaniel Casper

William (Bill) Nathaniel Casper, 50, died at his home in Knappa on June 14.

Bill was born in Astoria on Sept. 28, 1972, and graduated from Knappa High School in 1991.  Bill loved all sports, especially basketball (where he had held many school records).

Bill worked for Coca-Cola and was a business owner for Mission Foods for 10 years.  Bill’s present job was at Tongue Point Job Corps since May 2022.  He loved the job and the kids very much.

Bill loved to spend time with his kids.  They were his pride and joy.  He also loved to hunt, fish and party with friends and family.  He always wanted to help people and had recently been cutting and delivering firewood to people in the community, as well as doing yard work and landscaping.

Bill is survived by his mother, Ruby Yuill; stepfather, John Yuill; children, Carlie and Karson Casper, Sydney Van Dusen and Timber Hogman; and his niece and nephew, Jaden and Cameron Miethe.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Casper; and two sisters, Lindy Yuill and Christy Miethe.
Bill will be missed by many, and although he is gone, he will never be forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Brownsmead Grange. The celebration is open to anyone and everyone who knew and loved our Bill.
